Professional conduct
OTHRS members are expected to behave professionally at all times — in messages, Deal Rooms, introductions, profile content and during any interaction facilitated by the platform.
Prohibited activities
- Misrepresenting yourself, your organisation, your role or your authority;
- Posting false, misleading or fraudulent opportunities, demands or credentials;
- Sending unsolicited bulk messages, spam or marketing outside agreed Deal Rooms;
- Harassing, threatening, intimidating or discriminating against any member or third party;
- Scraping, harvesting or otherwise collecting member data without consent;
- Reverse-engineering, probing or attacking the platform or its security;
- Sharing confidential information outside its intended audience;
- Using OTHRS to facilitate any unlawful activity.
Spam prevention
OTHRS is not a marketing channel. Direct messages must relate to a legitimate opportunity or working relationship. Repeated unsolicited contact is a breach of this policy.
Misrepresentation
You must not impersonate another person, claim affiliations you do not hold or misrepresent the size, capability, regulatory status or coverage of your organisation.
Fraudulent opportunities
Demands, opportunities and Deal Rooms must reflect real intent. Posting opportunities that you are not authorised to transact, or that you have no intention of progressing, is a serious breach and may be reported to relevant authorities.
Harassment
Harassment, bullying or discriminatory conduct of any kind — including based on age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy, marriage or civil partnership — is prohibited.
Unauthorised data collection
You must not extract, scrape or aggregate member or organisation data from the platform by automated means, nor use the platform to compile databases for sale or resale.
Sharing confidential information
Content shared inside a Deal Room is confidential between the participants. You must not redistribute, publish or use that content outside its intended purpose without consent.
Illegal activity
OTHRS must not be used for any activity that breaches UK law, including money laundering, sanctions evasion, market manipulation, bribery or unauthorised financial promotions.
Consequences of violations
Violations may result in any combination of:
- Removal of the offending content;
- Restriction of platform features;
- Suspension or termination of the account or organisation;
- Notification to relevant regulators or law enforcement;
- Recovery of costs and damages where appropriate.
Reporting violations
To report a breach of this policy, contact legal@othrs.ai. We treat reports confidentially and review them promptly.
