What cookies are

Cookies are small data files stored on your device. We also use related technologies such as local storage and secure session tokens. This policy applies to all of these together as "cookies".

02

Essential cookies

Required for the platform to function. Without them you cannot sign in, stay signed in or use core platform features. These are set when you visit OTHRS and do not require consent under PECR.

03

Authentication cookies

Secure session tokens that keep you signed in across pages, and short-lived tokens used to issue and refresh credentials. These are a category of essential cookies.

04

Functional cookies

Remember choices you make in the interface — for example collapsed panels, recent filters, table layouts and language. These improve the experience but are not strictly necessary.

05

Analytics cookies

Aggregated, privacy-preserving measurement that helps us understand how the platform is used and where to invest improvements. Where consent is not given, analytics signals are limited to essential operational telemetry.

06

Future marketing cookies

Reserved for future product announcements and campaign measurement. No marketing cookies are currently set. If we introduce them, they will only run with your consent.

07

Cookie duration

  • Session — deleted when you close your browser.
  • Persistent — kept for a defined period (typically 30 days to 12 months) so you stay signed in and your preferences persist.
08

Managing your preferences

You can review and change your cookie preferences at any time from Account & Plan → Legal & cookies, or by clearing the OTHRS cookie consent record from your browser storage to re-trigger the consent panel.

09

Browser controls

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in to OTHRS. The ICO publishes guidance on cookie controls at ico.org.uk.
